Using simple html code

For construction, I use Dreamweaver CS5. This produces a site that is compliant with W3C and W3AG standards. Compliant sites rank higher in search engine results, and are therfore more easily found. I will design and construct a template so that all pages on your site will be the same, providing ease of navigation and convenient placement of your advertising. If you require a shopping cart site, I will use "Shop Site" or any of the multitude of ecommerce shopping cart software available today.

With the use of Photoshop, I will produce a colourful, and striking company logo to suit your requirements

Search Engine Optimisation

Even if you have the most brilliantly designed and presented site on the Internet, it is no use unless it can easily be found. To be easily found, your site has to appear high up in search engine result pages. To achieve this your site has to have a good page ranking, and to get a good page ranking, your site has to be "optimised". This can be done by

Careful construction of your site to meet the standards set by W3C and W3AG. with regard to site set-out, text, images etc, and adhering to internet protocols.
Obtaining back links to your site from other sites similar to yours.
Careful monitoring of your site's performance using Google's "Analytics", to determine the alterations and tweaking necessary to improve your site's performance and effectiveness.

What does this cost?

The cost of owning your own web site can vary enormously. Much depends on who does your work, how much design and art work is required, how many pages you need, and of course, search engine optimisation. Just to name a few of the variables involved. However being retired, I can build you an effective site you'll love for much less than anyone else.
